Installing Flowkit

Install Flowkit with one click via the Flowkit plugin page.

Running Flowkit

Type ⌘/ while to activate the quick actions search bar. Then type flowkit, make sure flowkit is selected, and hit return.

Using Auto Mode

With Flowkit running and Auto mode selected, connect any two objects or frames together by following this sequence:

  1. select an object or frame
  2. hold shift
  3. select a second object or frame.

As long as Flowkit is running and Auto mode is selected, the arrows will reposition automatically if objects are moved.

Using Manual Mode

Switch to manual mode for complete control over building your flows. Each arrow component can be manually scaled and contains nested end caps that can be changed with built in variants. Manual mode is ideal for more complex flows.

Placing Objects

Place any item from Flowkit by clicking and dragging the object to your desired location on the canvas.

You can also click an item to place it in the center of you viewport. If any item is previously selected on the canvas, clicking will place that object to the right of your selected object.

Using Flowkit Variants

Each component placed has variants for quickly changing certain visual aspects. You can find them in the properties panel on the right side of your Figma window.

Customizing Flowkit

You can customize Flowkit components by editing the Flowkit components page in your file. This page of components is generated by default in each new file you run the plugin.
